Salmon Arm RCMP make arrest for truck stolen in Alberta

A man was arrested after Salmon Arm RCMP located a pickup truck stolen out of Alberta on June 15, 2024.

A pickup truck stolen out of Alberta was recently recovered in Salmon Arm. 

Around 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 15, it was reported to Salmon Arm RCMP that a Ford F-450 stolen out of Alberta was parked just off Pierre's Point Road. With the plate number police located the vehicle and were able to confirm it was stolen, said Const. Andrew Hodges in a media release. 

"Police attended and boxed in the vehicle and arrested the driver and lone occupant for possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, and fail to comply with order," said Hodges.

The man was taken to the Salmon Arm detachment and held for a bail hearing.

"Police obtained charge approval for one count possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, and one count fail to comply with order against Jordan Dempster, who was remanded until June 25," said Hodges.
