Multi-vehicle crash closes Highway 97A between Sicamous and Enderby

Semi-truck spills load following collision on Highway 97A between Sicamous and Enderby.

Highway 97A is closed in both directions between Sicamous and Enderby due to a collision that caused a semi-truck to spill its load. 

The incident happened at about 6 p.m., Wednesday, between Monks and Riverside Road. 

According to witnesses in the area, a crash involving a semi-trailer carrying plywood caused a large amount of debris to scatter the highway.

Those on social media report that three vehicles and as well as the semi may have been involved in the collision. It’s unclear if anyone was injured in the incident.  

Emergency crews are on the scene. There is no current time of reopening.
