After two years of growth, the beach volleyball tournament is returning to the Penticton Peach Festival on Aug. 10 and 11.

The Junior Chamber International (JCI) Penticton is hosting the event for the third year, and looking to keep breaking their records for participants.

The second year nearly doubled the number of teams, with 14 squads across two divisions playing almost 100 combined games on the sand of Skaha Beach.

Game times start at 10:00 a.m. on both days. Saturday will consist of a Round Robin tournament with a Double Elimination playoffs on the Sunday.

The tournament is bringing back its competitive and non-competitve divisions, with the latter now vying for a double-sized prize pool of up to $600.

Both divisions have additional prizes for teams to compete; champions, runners-up, bad beat, and more.

The format is coed four-on-four with a maximum of six players per team and a minimum of one woman on the court at all times. Teams will rotate positions following SOVA beach rules.

Competitive division registration is set at $225 per team and the non-competitive division registration is set at $180 per team. Teams can register at https://www.jcipenticton.com/beach-volleyball-tournament for both divisions.

Any businesses interested in sponsoring can reach out to peachfestvolleyball@jcipenticton.com to discuss getting involved.
