After a brief closure, the splash pad at Skaha Lake Park in Penticton has reopened ahead of the Canada Day long weekend.

City officials said Friday, June 28, that the facility is available for use following maintenance work earlier this week.

The sun is out and shining Friday, with temperatures in Penticton expected to flirt with daytime highs of 27 C, as the splash pad reopens.

Located at the intersection of Cypress Street and Elm Avenue, the pad has reached the end of its lifespan and will be replaced ahead of next summer, according to the city.
