Hoping to see Taylor Swift in Vancouver this December?

The Penticton Hospital Auxiliary is calling out all "Swifties" with its newest fundraising raffle in support of expanding the local oncology clinic.

Two concert tickets to Swift's Dec. 8 show at BC Place, and $500 in cash, are on the line as the non-profit group sells raffle tickets from June 22 to Sept. 16.

Proceeds from the draw will go toward the oncology clinic at the Penticton Regional Hospital, with the winner set to be announced on Sept. 21 at 1 p.m.

A second prize of $1,000 will also be awarded.

Tickets are $20 each and can be purchased here, as well as at the Treasurers and Trinkets gift shop inside the hospital. There are only 5,000 tickets available, and purchasers must be residents of B.C. and at least 19 years of age.

Efforts to raise funds for the expanded oncology clinic kicked off in the fall of 2022, with the South Okanagan Similkameen Media Foundation hoping to raise $10 million for the cause.

In April 2024, the foundation said it was more than halfway toward reaching its goal.

The expanded oncology clinic will be on the third floor of the hospital, with renovations set to begin soon.

Construction is expected to be complete by May 2025.
