Smile Cookie Week is back in the South Okanagan.

From April 29 to May 5, buying a smile cookie at a South Okanagan-based Tim Hortons restaurant will help support the OSNS Child and Youth Development Centre (OSNS) Legacy Foundation.

This marks the fourth year the coffeehouse giant has supported the cause locally, with 100 per cent of proceeds set to go toward the Penticton-based child centre.

“Partnering with the Tim Hortons South Okanagan team is such an honor for all of us at the OSNS Legacy Foundation and OSNS,” said Megan Windeler, community engagement lead at OSNS.

“Their teams do such fantastic work to promote cookie sales and help drive fundraising. We are beyond grateful for the support this campaign provides to help ensure OSNS programs and services continue well into the future.”

Funds will go towards a $250,000 pledge the Stawarz Family, owner-operators of Tim Hortons South Okanagan, have made to the OSNS Legacy Foundation.

The campaign typically raises tens of thousands of dollars locally.

“Our teams are enthusiastic and eager to exceed last year’s fundraising achievements,” said Nicole MacMillan of the Stawarz Family. “This year we are urging our compassionate community to consider pre-purchasing bulk orders to amplify our impact.”

OSNS has supported kids with developmental challenges since 1978, with physiotherapy, occupational therapy, psychology, speech therapy, and autism intervention among the services offered.

Smile cookies can be purchased from any Tim Hortons location in Summerland, Penticton, Oliver and Osoyoos. One costs $2, plus tax.

Bulk orders can be made by contacting Aiden MacIntyre, director of people and community resources, at aiden@timhortonsbc.com.
